The Carnival’s events will take place in the capital’s main piazzas, as for example, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Venezia, although also in some squares situation outside of the city centre as well as a number of covered locations in case of rain.
A specially constructed village will provide the setting for the staging of “Commedia dell'arte” and horse shows in Piazza del Popolo. The Carnival program moreover envisages daily performances of members of the Street Artists Association, with whom a Festival of Jugglers has been organised.
Rome Carnival is this year again twinned with the city of Venice and for the first time also with Viareggio and Rio de Janeiro. The event is expected to prove a great opportunity to once again work alongside tourist operators, creating just the right synergy to offer the very best entertainment possible.
