Rome Communal City Council’s Office for Tourism, which is found in Via Leopardi 24, 00185 Roma, has the following competences:

• Organisation of events that promote Rome in Italy and abroad.

• Management of service contracts with Zetema for the city’s Tourist Information Points, its call centre for cultural events +39 060608 and the sale of the promotional card Roma Pass.

• Participation in trade fairs both national and international.

• Coordination of projects directed at increasing numbers of visits during “low season” periods.

• Production and distribution of information on the city’s historical/cultural patrimony.

• Manning the one-stop office for administration related to the issue, updating and revoke of the authorisations governing the hotel and wider accommodation sector.

• Working as a watchdog to prevent abuses in the accommodation sector.
