This year once again the “Parco della Musica” is being turned into a village full of fun for both the young and old for an entire month. On their arrival, visitors first encounter an enchanted forest in the pedestrian zone with forty illuminated fir trees. Not to be missed is Santa’s House where the children can meet Father Christmas and are presented with a souvenir photo.
The very young can also enjoy a day packed with fun and games, shows, as well as a Christmas drawing competition: it is the Kids Project, organised in cooperation with Rome’s 2nd Borough Council, which is open to every kindergarten, primary and middle school in the borough. The fun continues on a gaily coloured vintage merry-go-round and the ice rink. The older visitors can browse through the Christmas Fair, seeking original gifts. More than thirty stands have been set up displaying Christmas items, craftwork and a wide range of food from a number of Italy’s regions. The “Serra”, Greenhouse, provides the venue for the Art Forum, which is best described as a “small salon of craftwork par excellence.”
On top of a vast variety of jewels, chic clothing, design pieces, beauty treatment and wellness products, the site is in turn used for photographic exhibitions, master crafts displays and installations. There is indeed something for everyone at this Christmas Auditorium!
