This is what Senator Mauro Cutrufo said about Sophie De Santis article, published by the French newspaper. “Sometimes on the Italian press there is criticism, often useless, on issues concerning the Colosseum. It seems that the approach abroad is totally different, as almost every day we read so many articles describing to the world the beauties and marvellous things of our city.

In the Figaro article the journalist refers to “dolce vita of modern times” pointing out several new and ancient attractions of the city. It is important for our tourism and for the image of the city to receive the kind of affection shown only a few days ago by the Daily Telegraph and the Independent.

This result has been achieved thanks to the effectiveness of our international marketing strategy is effective, also proven by the constant increase in the number of tourists visiting more then once Rome . The Deputy Mayor added that in October one of these journalists could earn the prestigious “Premio Colosseo”, created to reward who talks about our city.
